Come along next year - great fun had by all!
The Blackjack Dash on Sunday the 15th of June was a great success. Some 10 power boats set off from the start line at Chalong Pier across the Bay at speed and into Phuket town. After powering up the river to the centre of town they took the Ko Siray klong and went out at Koh Mapro and onto the floating restaurant for lunch and a beer. The party included some 42 people and the weather was kind , Many of the participants on the freestyle ride back took the opportunity of having a swim off Koh Mapro and ko Nacka finally arriving back at the club as the last of the spring tide left the pier.
The blackjack game was exciting as it can be with many different hands showing huge promise but the eventual winners with an ace and a queen were Mick Keely and Paul Baker on Spare Rib.
The party continued at the club with live music until late in the evening.
