Developments at the Phuket Yacht Club

Rear Commodores past and present have overseen continuous improvements to the facilities at the PYC. This process continues apace. In the last year, the whole docking facility has been extensively improved and enlarged. Further improvements are planned such as an electric winch will be installed to assist in retrieving dinghies. The car park has been substantially cleared of Flora and Fauna and the dinghy storage area is being extended.

Guttering has been installed to collect water and reduce our demand for water trucks. Garden furniture has enabled more agreeable seating in the club.

This year whole sections of the bar have been replaced and redecorated and a continuous maintenance plan has been put into effect.

Recently a specialist company has been engaged to reduce the nuisance caused by insects on the club’s borders.
