Seahorse Sailing Phuket was founded to meet the growing demand for sailing instruction within Phuket’s vibrant sports, adventure tourism, and hospitality sectors. Our sailing school journey begins — and continues — right here at Phuket Yacht Club, where for over five years we’ve shared a passion for the sea with the local community and visitors alike. Together, we’ve safely introduced hundreds of juniors, youths, and adults to the excitement of dinghy sailing, nurturing skills and confidence on the water. Many of our young sailors have progressed from first-time learners to competing proudly at national and international levels — a testament to the strength of our partnership and the vibrant sailing culture we’re building together in Chalong Bay.

Junior Sailing tuition for all levels in Phuket

Seahorse Sailing Phuket provides a professional full time coach along with International Sailing Schools (ISS) accreditation. The school flourishes with nearing 100 youth sailors attending youth sail training sessions each year. Operating every all week and school holidays, dinghy sail training courses are available for beginner, intermediate and racing sailors aged 7 to 17. The world renown O’pen Skiff is the sail training platform of choice and offers participants an opportunity to obtain and hone their sailing skills in a safe and fun boat where capsizing and free-style events are all part of the on-water learning experience. For the more competitive sailor regular regattas form a performance pathway preparing them for provincial and national events.

Adult Learn to Sail Courses - Phuket

Not forgetting more mature, adult dinghy sailors, learn to sail courses are available in the single-handed ILCA class. No previous sailing experience is necessary and the warm, mostly calm, shallow waters of Chalong Bay couldn’t make learning to sail any more pleasant. Adult courses are individually tailored to suit your level of experience and of course available time.

Today, more than 70 sailing academies across the globe operate under ISSA’s framework, promoting consistent, high-quality training standards.

Here in Phuket, Seahorse Sailing proudly follows ISSA’s strict guidelines. Our instructors are certified to ISSA’s rigorous marine safety requirements, trained in First Aid and CPR, and have undergone comprehensive background checks conducted by the Royal Thai Police to ensure the highest level of safety and professionalism.
