PYC Annual General Meeting – 2024

AGM at Phuket Yacht Club
Friday 31st May 2024 - 6pm onward
Dear MembersThe 2024 Annual General Meeting is scheduled to start from 18.00 on Friday 31st May 2024 and will be held at the club premises.
A thai buffet starting after the AGM will be put on for members in attendance.
We would like to see as many members attend as possible however if you cannot make it please take the time to submit your Proxy or Absentee vote, full details below. Please Note: Items not on the final agenda may not be raised at the AGM.
The agenda will be as follows:
· Commodore’s Report
· Treasurer’s Report
· Sailing report
· Other business
· Resignation of current committee
· Election of new committee and commodore
Please note that only fully paid up members are eligible to vote so please make sure your membership fees are paid in advance of the AGM.
Proxy Votes
A Proxy Vote is where a Member, who is unable to attend the meeting, nominates another Member to vote on his behalf.
For a proxy to be effective, the Member must notify the Club Secretary at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the meeting of the name of his Proxy Voter. Proxy Votes count towards a quorum on all issues. A Proxy Vote must be notified to the Club Secretary by email or by written notification delivered to the Club Secretary.
Absentee Votes
An Absentee Vote is where a Member, who is unable to attend the meeting, notifies the Club Secretary by email or in writing how he wishes to vote on any agenda item. It is the club secretary’s responsibility to ensure that such votes are recorded properly.
Absentee voters, although counting towards a quorum, will be deemed to have abstained from any votes where the motion voted on is not self-explanatory. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on the 31st May.
