Adrenalin does it at race day 2 in the 1st series at Phuket Yacht Club
Facing our club starter Chandran, for the second race of our first series of 2017 were seven boats, made up of four multihulls and three mono hulls.
A light but the consistent breeze kept all boats moving along the Chalong Bay course and a great time was had by all, judging by the good-natured banter and energy levels at the prize giving afterwards at the club.
Adrenalin by four seconds
After a great battle all day, Hurricane just edged out Adrenalin over the line but the placings on Handicap were reversed with Adrenalin getting first place by a mere four seconds.
The third was Galeforce who had a small problem with a spinnaker but was great to see them out racing.
In the monohulls, Farrgo was quick out of the start and we’re looking good early, the light winds were made for the Mumm 30 Judy to ease away for a corrected time win over Farrgo with the Aqua team coming in third. Aqua had such a great time they hosted the daily prize giving with many laughs.
Thanks to Greg Reynolds for the race report.
