Latest News from the Multihull Solutions Regatta as Title sponsors agree to a two-year commitment.

Preparations are ramping up for the 2017 Multihull Solutions Regatta and the Phuket Yacht Club organising committee are delighted to announce an additional two-year commitment from principal sponsor Multihull Solutions.

PYC Commodore Scott Duncanson said of the sponsorship renewal, 

“We are very proud and grateful of the financial support received from Multihull Solutions”. 

The partnership now in its fourth year is a testament to the ever-growing strength of multihull sailing globally.

“The club is working very hard to ensure the regatta continues to grow, develop and attract more cruising and racing sailors to the beautiful waters of Phuket”

Race-day sponsors Octopus Electrical and East Marine return for another year with the addition of charter yacht company Sail Escapes who are testing MHSR sponsorship waters for the first time in what has become Asia Pacific’s largest, multi-hull only event.

Entries are coming in with Adrenalin ( Mark Horward), Kaze (Alan Hodges), cruising div Mojo (Rick Fielding), firefly Surf Patrol ( Ray Waldron) and the Pulse 6o0 H 30 (Andrew De Bruin)

With such a large variety of boats and sailors expected, Corsair Marine based in Vietnam, Java Yachting, Thailand and Sovereign BBQs and Grills, Australia are welcomed as supporting sponsors offering some superb prizes for cruisers and racers alike.

Word of the MHSR will be spread globally this year via two of the most recognised marine publications, Multihull World and SEA Yachting providing further strength to its status in the world of sailing.

A record-breaking fleet of over 25 yachts is expected this year with the possibility of six, locally built Stealth catamarans, seven Firefly 850s and five Pulse 600s providing a solid base for the regatta along with an array of specialist racing and cruising Multihulls from around the Asia Pacific region.
